Noise Pop represents the reconciliation of the unusual combination of amplitude, melody, and sheer noise. Creative Noise Pop artists create elements of mainstream accessibility amongst cacophonous clouds. The sound made its first significant debut in the sounds of Jesus & Mary Chain in the early 1980s. Other representative artists include My Bloody Valentine, The Pixies, and The Flaming Lips.
