Hardcore is a term given to an artist who just speaks about the things that are going on in the inner cities and ghettos of America. Their lyrics may rang from drug use to police brutality to gang violence. Bone Thugs 'N' Harmony and Scarface are considered hardcore rappers. Tupac Shakur received criticism for his hard-core lyrics that dealt with cop killing, but Shakur also made a lot of dance tunes, and tunes meant to uplift African Americans.
