Classical crossover covers a wide variety of styles but basically refers to music that combines elements of classical music with elements of popular music. Orchestras have been playing crossover concerts for many years in the form of "pops" concerts, in which they perform "lighter" classical pieces or arrangements of popular songs, often featuring jazz, rock, or country stars.
