Full Description

"Like a David Lynch soundtrack but more aggro." Such was a casual observation of Darling Violetta's dark, sensual, genre-crossing sound. From vastly different backgrounds, the styles of the five members coalesce into a captivating mixture of psychedelia, heavy grooves & dynamic dark pop. DV possesses an undeniably intense stage presence, making them one of the most refreshing bands on the L.A. scene. After singer CAMI ELEN hooked up with guitarist JYMM THOMAS, they played acoustic dates around the city as a duo before bassist ATTO ATTIE & drummer STEVE McMANUS completed the circle. In lieu of a second guitarist they added accomplished electric cellist GERRI SUTYAK and began recording the kill you EP. Out of those sessions came the radio-ready "Spoiled & Rotten", with an accompanying video directed by Niva Dorell, 1999 winner of Showtime's Black Filmmaker Award.
