20th Century Romantic

Although many new trends began in the twentieth century, some composers continued to write in a romantic style. Richard Strauss's and Gustave Mahler's careers began in the late 1800s and continued into the twentieth century. Sergei Rachmaninov composed some of the most beautiful and memorable romantic melodies after 1900.
