  Full Description
I came across Fruity Loops Pro while surfing the WEEB in the summer of '99. I quickly seized upon the/its compositional possibilities open to me as a non-instrumentalist. As far as Float and Flame goes, my aim was to fashion an acoustic ambiance out of a few modest sound fonts, graciously provided by Jumpin' Jonathon Starr. Thanks to a serendipidous fluke while experimenting with Cool Edit Pro, the percussion track took on a life of its own, enabling me to "finish up" on one of my earliest digital dabblings. Jonathon Starr can also be credited for "editorial encouragment" on the strings. Thanks Bud :-)

Review:   Paste and click composing? YES!

"...open to me as a non-instrumentalist..."

From what I understand of the song description, this guy plays no instruments. Well! Who needs to be able to play like Mozart to create a really intriguing piece of music? Not Saint Henry, that's for sure!

I found this piece very soothing and enjoyable, and I am very impressed with the method of creation.- And HEY! Another Cool Edit user!

Review:   This is a very appealing piece of music. The art of Construting music from clips and samples as yet escapes me. Takes an understanding of the digital world that I do not possess. Your hard work shows through in the nice sound of the piece.
I don't know about the Blues genre for it though somehow just don't feel like that one fits it.
Good job though and a worthy download.

Review:   This music floats and passes by, coming close and far, hopeful and dark, like a dream, like life.
You shouldn't decrease the dream telling with which tools you made it (brief description).
You made it with your soul.
