Lyrics

You were right he likes to be left alone he’s inside he’s torn out the telephone we can lie under the trees and wait I know he won’t be late Mr. Myers in the window with a glass of lemonade and the telescope that he made for occasions just like these he aims to please you we don’t mind living life in our dreams when we find that life turns out to be just what it seems we can lie under the starry skies he puts on his x-ray eyes Mr. Myers in the window with a glass of lemonade and the telescope that he made for occasions just like these he aims to please you

Full Description

A reclusive suburbanite and his voyeuristic hobby are the subjects of this offbeat and catchy acoustic song. The big chorus—this song is all about the chorus—has echoes of Sergeant Pepper and Jellyfish. Produced by Ernie Adzentoivich. Recorded at Mother West in New York City.
