Review:
Alright Matt! As I listen to dozens of independent artists, it seems that most have turned their back sqaurely against good ol' fashion guitar pop with energetic harmonies. Here they are! Perfect song form too... Big build in the bridge.
"Happy to be sad" combines an expressive vocal performance with an edgy guitar texture and energetic harmonies.
Love live Pop!

Lyrics
Full Description
Matt's signature trademark running throughout all his writing is his emphasis on melody. From his layering of both bold and sweet-sounding guitars to his passionate lead vocals and bright harmonies, the results are songs where all musical elements blend together, yet are showcased individually as well. Matt's lyrics are a direct reflection of his introspective and self-examining nature. He presents them, however, in a straight-ahead, "every-day-kind-of" way, thus connecting with people from all walks of life and experience.
