New wave hardcore meets Led Zep or solo Robert Plant type rock. Or even Billy Squier, if you will. Comedians talk about hiting "the level of the room", that is what kind of material any given audience will laugh at. This song is about a guy woefully unable to negotiate the level of the room. In other words. he's bombing. Really badly.
