I have sprained my back. I am now required to lay on the bed or couch for 3 days, I am into day two and losing my mind. The flexaril is turning my brain to mush and the doing nothing when everything needs doing is keeping me from just relaxing!
Put up some links to you tunes and I will entertain myself by listening, if you don;t mind. I can dl a few and listen while I read.
damn

Hot pads/blankets can be very helpful for that type of injury. Relaxes the muscle, and therefore eases the pain.

Hey Daisy, I feel your pain.

Last week I flew down to Miami to hang on the beach and play golf. The day I was leaving I broke a toe so the first thing I did when I got to Miami was go to the hospital.
I am still in miami and I have spent the last week not golfing and not going to the beach. The first three days I had to stay inside and keep my foot up in the air.
All I can do now is hang out at the pool with my foot up in the air.
Tomorrow I have the pleasure of flying back home, which I know is going to suck.

Anyway I just thought that this might cheer you up, knowing that someone else is in pain, too.
The only thing that has saved me, beside lots of codine, is my laptop and editing and listening to music.

Later
James

LadyDaisy, I feel your pain.

A couple of years ago I pinched a nerve in my back and was laid-up for months. One day I felt good and decided to go for a mountain bike ride- but I crashed and broke my shoulder.

The back pain went away and never came back.

I don't recommend this type of therapy, but it worked for me.

Joe - remove the spaces in your [url=] command - that will take care of your link problem...

LadyDaisy - I sympathize - my back is perpetually in a shambles... it sucks when I have to haul PA gear...

although, drug fiend that I am, I always enjoyed the flexeril part

a speedy recovery to you

Davey Boy Crockey - (sorry, Lady D about using your thread for off-topic discussions... forgive me? ) Tina was asking me last night "Did you invite Dave, Dr. O and BDR?" It was truly one of those "DOH!" moments... Sincerest apologies... I've been busy trying to get the Dolo release underway (dozens of promo-kits out to distributors, agents, radio stations, etc...)

How've you been? When are we going to get together again? Can we do Wilmington so Lady D and Deel can join us? If so, can BDR and the Doc make it as well? Artie J... you listenin' boy??? Let's get-it-on!!!

No, but this is a good guess. I got the idea while talking to a funny teenage friend of Caitlin's. It just came out of my mouth and I said, "Hey, that would be a GREAT song title."

If anyone is remotely interested in hearing this instrumental surf tune, find it at www.listensmart.com/dirtsurfers

I've got the intermittant lower back problems myself. When we switched to a really hard mattress and I started using one of those knee pillows, I've had far fewer incidents. Hang in there; this too will pass!

Healing my brother right now, from a lumbar strain/sciatica nerve bummer. I have been pep talking him for 2 months now.
1. You are young, the elderly rarely recover.
2. Your brain stills works (he curses me)
3. Doctors have little to say...so you OWN remedy may be the answer. Statistics show PART bed rest PART low tempo movement is the best remedy to a complete recovery. Use little pain killers as they make you dull over time. Take care of your self. THAnks for the good words.

Well Lady Daisy, I feel your pain, fairly literally.

I was biking home today, and I hit curb wrong after dodging this stray dog. I fell straight off the bike, and scaped my arms and hands up good.

As far as music from me you could listen to, I have finished my 12th CD (my 8th, discounting best ofs and remix discs), and you can listen to it at www.musicbuilder.com/ViewArtistCD.asp?CDID=7841 . All I have is instant plays up. Sorry. Maybe since you are layed up, I'll put them up for download.

Karl (aka The Stereo Logic)
PS: Doug, Caitlin is your daughter? If so cool. I bet when she and her friends reviewed my remix of tom aragon and lizette's track, they didn't know that a kid in there age remixed it.
