Well, I'm still dry, but last night I did run across an old tape with two songs I managed to put on my computer and convert into MP3s. Here's the first, "No Love," which I wrote oh, eight years ago and recorded in a friend's studio. It's a Dat to Tape to Hard drive copy of the song, so there is hiss, and for some reason it's wicked loud. Still it's a pretty cool song. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Right now I'm 2:19 into the song. I'm diggin this part. There is some hiss, but this is an archive/previously unreleased/before they were famous/ track so it is unforgivable. Damn you still had it eight years ago bro! You should hear what I was making eight years ago, but that's besides the point. Super energy, well written... I'm gonna listen again right now without typing so I can enjoy it. Hardcore punk man. Put the other one up too! ------------------ IP: Logged |

I like it, has a bit of an 80's feel that contrasts nicely when the grate on steel guitars and throat destroying vocals. The bass is huge sounding. Cool! Bruce ------------------ IP: Logged |

Throat destroyin' you ain't kiddin'. Actually, I remember after I did that song I started experimenting with new ways to sing b/c it was just too painful. It's a shame, I really like shrieking but I can't keep it up for more than one or two songs.I have no idea where that huge bass sound came from. It's really weird because during that time everyone's complaint and my biggest problem was that the guitars would overwhelm everything else in the mix, and you would hear any kind of bass at all whatsoever. I don't know what happened. Must be the tape itself bringing it out, or something like that. ------------------ IP: Logged |
