I justed wanted to say thanks to The Bass Dude, Baptist Death Ray and Dr. Oakroot for coming out to our North Carolina Listensmart get-together last night. We talked about all kinds of things over dinner, and then we headed off to see a really loud punk band. I had a great time, and I will post pics as soon as I get them. Hoping we can do it again sometime! ------------------ IP: Logged |

Yeah, that was really a blast... I hope we do it again, and I hope more NC musicians show up, too! And I think I'm going to have to bring earplugs next time, because that band really was incredibly loud. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Here's an interesting tidbit... I know Davey Boy Crocky as, of course, Davey Boy Crocky. However, I've never actually spoken his handle aloud before. All night I kept trying to say "Davey Crockett..." and stopping myself, for the most part. I think it did slip out once. So, it's become very obvious to me that DBC is the king of the wild (digital) frontier. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Ok, on further examination, the above is not necessarily an interesting tidbit. ![]() ------------------ IP: Logged |

My thanks to all who attended... I think we're really on to something here!!! The next time, we'll wrangle Lady Daisy, Deel and Artie J into coming, as well... Davey Boy Crocky and I leg-wrestled for the check... He won. A sincere hats-off to DBC for picking-up the check!!! A note to you non-Carolinians who may be reading this... Be on the look-out for a collaboration project "The Sirs" salute you! ------------------ IP: Logged |

Who,er I mean what did ya have for dinner? Never mind. It must be indeed a weird but cool thing to meet people that you only have known on the Net. I have talked on the phone with a few but never actually met any. Wait, I did once but that was only after a brief time of talking with them on the Net, maybe an eamil or two. Somehow that made it less weird. Net relationships are other dimensional. ------------------ IP: Logged |
