No problem/confusion here, Ben. I emailed both songs to you the same day. Didja get a chance to check 'em out, or what's shaking? Thanks, Steve ------------------ IP: Logged |

OK, now we're getting somewhere. It doesn't look like I got the second email. The only one I got was with the track Siberia. If you get a chance, go ahead and send me the other 2 songs (separate emails), and I'll take care of it. -Ben ------------------ IP: Logged |

Hey Steve, didn't something like this happen at MP3.com? You use a Mac? What was the solution, I'm looking through my emails and I can't find it. (just sifted through about 1,000 emails just now.) ------------------ IP: Logged |

Hi WeAponX, There were occasional upload goofs, but not where the files played fine but vanished when placing them on the servers, as Ben described. FWIW, the versions I sent most recently were ones I downloaded from MP3.com, in an effort to avoid any problems stemming from my computer. While I use a Mac, that shouldn't be a prob: 128k, joint stereo, 44.1k,16-bit, etc. No tags. And, it's not that they don't play, it's that they're "404." Thanks, Steve Sklar/Big Sky ------------------ IP: Logged |

Arg, they are still "404" because they cannot complete the conversion on them for some reason. Ah I remember now I was talking to someone named "Fluffy" about the ID3v2 tags. But I thought they had fixed that on both MP3.com and AMP3.com The last I heard was that even if you don't add an ID3 tag to the file on a MAC using AC for Mac it still put an ID3v2 tag on it, and the bit structure at the end (or was it the beginning) of the file is slightly different than when encoded on PC. That might make some trouble depending on what WMA and RM converters are being used, but some of your songs came through ok? Gak! Well I might be digging out my emails from "Fluffy" and forwarding them to Ben. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Hi Ben, New song went up fine and immediately last night. Did you receive the others? If we can't get 'em running, maybe I should just pull them? Doesn't look good for either of us to just leave 'em missing. Thanks, Steve ------------------ IP: Logged |

Steve- I still haven't received an email. I'm worried that the attachment size might be an issue. How about a tester? ------------------ IP: Logged |

Thanks to everyone for their concern and suggestions. But, I think I'm just gonna pull the songs that don't play. No biggie, but between my shoulder injury and computer/ISP hassles (now resolved), I'm literally months behind on promo and correspondance; I just can't spend more time on this right now. I succesfully uploaded a new Big Sky song last night, "Smooth Stones," and I'll leave it at that for now. Thanks again, Steve Sklar ------------------ IP: Logged |
