Maybe Mp3c posted the P4P to start a frenzy because of the million dollar purse this month. What better way to get artists to try harder to earn some of that money.

If they lose 10,000 artists, there's just that much more P4P to go around to the remaining artists.

Maybe Mp3c posted the P4P so band members could check up on their leader or manager because of compliants of impropriety.

Maybe MR will stop at nothing to keep his company in the news to try and revive the failing stock price, hence the giving away of a MEELION dollars!

Maybe MR wants to see how far he can go with his power trips without losing a major amount of artists.

Maybe this is just a grand psychological maneuver to breed more shame into the artists and deepen their abuser/victim complex. If so, expect more of the same until one day MR actually makes the entire MP3c site a subscription service for the artists AND the listeners.

All the speculation in the world will not change a thing.

Relax. The hamsters will be busy runnin' the wheel at mp3.con in a day or so. They now know that their squeeking was futile.
The love their masters again.

THE WISDOM OF PARADISE

Q2. Why did mp3.con go ahead with that when it seems that a majority of
the artists oppose it?

A2. No Phil a majority of the artists on MP3.com do not post on the
messageboards. There are over 65,000 artists on MP3.com, And only a
percentage of the artists that do post oppose it.

* For more wisdom of Paradise see the Paradise Post

G-Spoof, The Enlightened one speaks:

"If something stank at mp3.com believe me I'd be the first and loudest
opponent...mostly because I can take a five minute drive up to there
house and talk with them directly (if I can get past the security guards
that is) there is nothing wrong with this new policy." G-Spoof "The

Like any good multi-million dollar company, MP3.con has stated the obvious, between the lines of course: "We hold the coins and will do what we wish. We don't give a fuck about anyone but ourselves. If you don't like it, leave. Have a nice day."

If it makes anyone feel any better,

Both Ernesto Cortozar AND his son have signed Galby's petition against posting PFP on the pages.

Ernesto is one the biggest, if not THE biggest artists on the site. If anyone has any pull there, HE does.
