I wanted to make a quick announcment that Fred Wheeler (of StrangeCloud) has agreed to act as one of our moderators for the forums dedicated to other music sites.

I felt as though Fred was the perfect choice for the role, since his MP3 site guide on IndieJournal.com was the motivation for implementing the forums.

So, if you would, take a moment to say "Hi" to Fred, check out his work at IndieJournal.com, and also make a contribution to the forums dedicated to other music sites.

Thanks.

Best regards,

Sean

Fred is also an attorney. And since many of these "other music sites" are shutting down without paying the artists (amp3.com for example) we need all the free legal help we can get.

That was pretty uncalled for Kenny. Go click over to amp3.com and tell me if you see a 404 not found?

We talked about this business over in the amp3 forum, shall we discuss it more? Most of the artists that were owed for the last payable quarter have been dealt with and there is a phone number people can call at amp3.com who have not been paid.

The best thing we can do is refrain from attempting to re-open this old wound.

At any rate Fred was VERY HELPFUL in finding some VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION. I express for Michael, gratitute for finding this information for us.

You are too much! Thanks for the warm welcome. I hope you will all contribute to the "other sites" boards and by doing so help to make ListenSmart.com the best place to be.

Fred, A feature story of Phil Frazier and an Interview regarding the newest release of the Phil Frazier CD from CBH3 Records seems appropriate.

http://www.CBH3.COM/phil/

*CBH3 Records presents: a Phil Frazier CD

*PHIL FRAZIER: "CRUISIN' THE STRIP"

A 4 song CD with the rippin' guitar of JOE SATRIANI.

The title song, "Cruisin' the Strip", a Six Minute Epic was recorded
Live" in Studio. San Francisco, CA.

The first 100 CD's are hand numbered.

Available now at: www.cbh3.com/phil

CBH3 Records

Cruisin the Strip has a timeless quality, cool riff, good beat, lot's of cool guitar by Satriani. Phil's singing is damn good and sounds like Creedence or something.

The other 3 tunes retro- cool. A Creedence/Grand Funk Railroad vibe from "Super Dose" Trk. 2, a Rod Stewart vibe from track 3, and Creedence/Randy Newman vibe from track 4. There is some hippy G. Dead piano peppered throughout some of the tracks to add a little honky tonk feel.

This was all recorded back in 1978 so it's a retro thing, now. I think people who are into a late 70's,early 80's hard rock retro thing would dig it. But I do get a kick out of these older tunes by Phil with actual lyrics, vocals, cool guitar, and occasional late 70's campy-ness.

Beware, Phil's tunes get in your head and you hum them.

Carl B. Hoch ETCH MAG.

Cool Stuff Man,

Satriani is the Fuckin Man on the guitar.
Good work Phil
props,

drjaywalk

I checked it out and definitely dig it. I like the vocals & groove (hey Phil can actually sing!). Unlike other Satriani
tunes, it isnt inundated with massive guitar licks, something that I find to be unpallitable from my experience of
other stuff he has been involved in.
Damo.

Cool little soundclip.

I guess I'll have to order one of these.

HEY! That's pretty damn good!

Not influenced my Jello Biafra a bit eh?

nice clip phil!
even cooler than having satriani on there is the fact that you sound alot like david byrne singing..

i like it!

Sean - you are showing good judgement by getting the more respected, productive, and level-headed members of the online Indie community involved in your site.

Congrats to you both.

What was uncalled for in my statement, X?

I see where Fred has done legal research for you, today. Helped you find something you couldn't find.

Which is what I was saying in my post was good thing. Accompanied by the smiley.

I checked on amp3.com and the business is still shut down. The webpage facade is still there but the business is down. Specifically my business with them.

So tell me again, what was uncalled for?
What was wrong in my statement to get such a response?
