Alanis Morissette to sell $1 mln of MP3.com stock

WASHINGTON, May 15 (Reuters) - Pop singer Alanis Morissette plans to
sell about $1 million worth of the stock of online music company MP3.com
Inc. , according to a filing she made with the Securities and Exchange
Commission.

The Canadian-born rocker, whose hit singles include "Ironic" and "You
Learn," is looking to unload 100,000 common shares of MP3.com. They are
part of 329,328 shares she acquired in April 1999, her SEC filing
earlier this month showed.

An MP3 spokeswoman said the San Diego-based company has a consulting
arrangement with Morissette's Atlas/Third Rail Management Inc., an
artist management group.

As part of the deal, MP3 sponsored a summer 1999 tour by Morissette and
fellow singer Tori Amos. It also granted Atlas/Third Rail the right to
buy 658,653 shares of MP3 for 33 cents a share.

MP3 shares were at 12-7/8, down 5/8, in afternoon Nasdaq trading.

Well, if we were allowed to buy at 33 cents a share rather than 16 bucks a share, we'd all be rich too. Or richer, as in Alanis case

The Alanis post got zero response. Coulda had somethin' to do with the questions I posed after the article or someone bumped the post down to gt rid of it.

Do her Investment advisors know something that others don't?

Do you think that this doesn't effect your presence on mp3.con?

Does it bother you that non-USA artists couldn't buy stock but she
could?

Does it make you pause that her Mgmt. got this stock for $0.33 a share
when the artists here had to pay $10+ for the shares?

Does it make you wonder why she is no longer on mp3.con but Liquid
Audio?

Are you disturbed that mp3.con spent so much money on her and gave her
such a great deal on the stock and then she leaves?

Does this example cause you think about the treatment you are getting
versus the "special" Artists?

Do you think that is going to get better here for you?

I read in a related article that she was "seeking to sell off 1 million dollars worth of mp3.com stock" which was equivalent to 100,000 shares. She still has over 200,000 shares to dick with.

Yah- interesting, she's canadian eh? EH? So then why couldn't the brothers Morely buy MP3.con stock?

But, then again maybe the firm that bought the stock for her was an amerikan firm.
