  Artist Info
From :
• Westminster
Musical Style :
• I have trouble making judgements about my own voice, but I would like to be included along with acts like Travis Tritt , Montgomery Gentry, or maybe Lonestar.
Musical Influences :
• Motown 60's soul/pop , Bakersfield sound, Johnny Cash, George Strait. I'd like to make 'new country' music with a splash of soulful lyrics and heart-tugging blues based riffs.
Brief Description :
• Singer, songwriter. Drummer 20 years, some guitar ability. 100% ready for the road and fully committed to the business side of music.
Artist History :
• The songs on this CD were recorded in Nashville during the spring of 1999 at Nightingale Studios on Music Row....I had a blast recording in that studio, alot of history on the walls and in the booths. A real nice experience. The musicians I worked with were beyond phenomenal, and it was a privilege working with them.

Good things people say about Phil Hodge
I Will: Country ballad. Very beautiful and subtle intro with acoustic guitar, very soulful vocals with good intonation, up front with good reverb. Good dynamic build in the second verse, pedal steel, e-guitar and organ. More build in the bridge, which is quite complex, then the tune comes back down for the refrain...interesting. The tune exits very subtly and beautifully. Well....the mix is excellent, the vocals are great, the composition is beautiful, the arrangement is perfect, the musicians are all very talented. Great job! for fans of this genre a must hear! 9.5/10 Double Yellow Line: First of all...YOUR VOICE!! Incredibly good, and I love your accent!!! So perfect for the music you do. I like this song...makes me feel good. The sound, sounds so real, like you´d be playing live. Especially the piano, got that bar-feeling. Great song + production, great vocalist! New Beginning - is great.
