| | From : | | • Largo | | Musical Style : | | • Down-Home Florida Blues | | Musical Influences : | | • All the blues greats from Robert Johnson to Johnny Lang | | Brief Description : | | • The Straightup Blues Band is a 6 piece group fronted by female vocals. They play Honest, Straight from the heart down-home Florida Blues. | | Artist History : | | • The band got together as friends and co-workers to unwind. Things went a little crazy from there.
Sitting in at JAM sessions with the Molton Mike Group escalated into regular gigs, tours to National Blues Festivals and a CD. Who know what the next two years may bring. |

STRAIGHTUP BLUES STRAIGHTUP BLUES BAND
from: LISTEN.COM - SARAH B.This is straight-up-blues---served with a heavy dose of cream and sugar. Don’t look to this band for the rip-roaring excesses of Freddie King; instead you’ll get clear, restrained playing, classic covers, and deep female vocals.
ALVINA
from: LISTEN. COM - JESSE T.
Artist applies her husky but sweet vibrato to standards and originals. Her backup band plays crisp, tight Electric | | Good things people say about Straightup Blues Band | | We have been called "clean", energetic, original and sweet. | | Add Yourself to the Artists Mailing List |
