Artist Info

From :

• Spokane

Musical Style :

• A blend of styles from techno to industrial, from goth/darkwave to rock, Digital Ritual creates soundscapes that are full of blistering guitar, fat, full basslines, distorted vocals, and driven by a steady undercurrent of techno/industrial beats, building to a crescendo of sonic chaos that will leave the listener in a frenzy and the dancefloors packed.

Musical Influences :

• Techno: The Prodigy, Underworld, Chemical Brothers, Sven Vath, Orbital; Industrial: Front Line Assembly, Nine Inch Nails, Skinny Puppy, Ministry; Goth/Darkwave: Sisters of Mercy, Rosetta Stone, James Ray

Brief Description :

• In the tradition of Nine Inch Nails, Front Line Assembly and the Prodigy, Digital Ritual creates a sound that has the intensity of the dance/club culture and the driving force of the industrial-dance/darkwave scene.

Artist History :

• Digital Ritual began in 1999 as an experiment in fusing the high-octane energy of the dance/club culture of the UK with the darker, moodier sounds of the underground industrial/goth scene in the US. The result is a fresh style that is heavy, with blistering guitars and distorted vocals, but yet somehow danceable with rave-style intensity.

Press Reviews

LISTEN.COM says: "Skillful balance of Techno and Industrial-Dance that attacks the club floor like a brawl between Liam Howlett and Trent Reznor. Evil guitars dominate ruthless beats and breaks, as bleepy acid bits bore holes into deep basslines and standing synths."
KARMA FARM UNIVERSE says: "This is what Trent Reznor would sound like, if he was a hippy... Actual genuine rave rock that uses the best bits of both - rock feel with rave intensity and danceability"
