| | From : | | • Norway | | Musical Style : | | • Consisting of a theatre actor, classical guitarist, jazz bassist, a classical/jazz-keyboardist, and a classically educated drummer with over 10 years of band experience - this band can play just about anything. As all music are basically written and arranged collectively, this will not stick to one given genre. It's rock, pop, classical, folk, progressive, and sometimes everything at once. | | Musical Influences : | | • Faith No More, Dave Matthews Band, Live, Pearl Jam, Jethro Tull, Queensryche and many more. | | Brief Description : | | • Elegie is a Norwegian 5-piece act, formed 1997. Musical style based in Progressive Rock, Hard Rock and Folk. | | Artist History : | | • Elegie was originally formed for a one-off performance in a Norwegian Culture competition. The whole performance went very well, and the band continued playing together. Since then the band has played several competitions and recorded a couple of demo CD's, and occasionally doing some side projects together with other promising local musicians. Elegie is currently rehearsing, playing live shows and recording new material. |

| | Press Reviews | | "Classically trained musicians take on the latest craze: Rock. Contemplative, hypnotic and complex. May have distinction of being the only rock band to be inspired by classical composer Benjamin Britten"(Listen.com). | | Good things people say about Elegie | | "Elegie... I am completely speechless. I really don't know what to say except that's probably the best song I've heard on Mp3 hands down! All the changes keeps my mind guessing what's next. A definite masterpiece. Great work."
