| | From : | | • Sweden | | Musical Style : | | • Tumbleweed Trail takes its stance from the viewpoint of the song. Carefully constructed melodies and lyrics of great quality are performed and recorded with excellence, all with a firm basis in a thorough adherence to the American music tradition. | | Musical Influences : | | • Too numerous to mention. Some compare the band to the early days of the Eagles. But they are broader than that. | | Brief Description : | | • Tumbleweed Trail has been around since 1995. Lately, the band has sprung forth as the most successful European country act on the internet. | | Artist History : | | • Originally intended as a vehicle of exploration into the American music heritage, Tumbleweed Trail (originally just "Tumbleweed", but that's a different story...) was put together by some of Sweden's foremost musicians and songwriters to pursue this idea and push it to its limits. The venture has been steadily growing at a healthy pace, from originally just meeting up in the rehearsal room to share experiences, to doing local gigs, to touring and performing on large festivals, to being featured |

| | Press Reviews | | see www.tumbleweedtrail.com | | Good things people say about Tumbleweed Trail | | Tumbleweed Trail gets a lot of fan mail. Here's an example of one of the more memorable ones:
"If you guys don't make it to the big time, there is something terribly wrong, IMO. At least as far as I'm concerned, you have really successfully accomplished the whole deal. Your vocal parts, both lead and harmony, are great and a pleasure to listen to. The same is certainly true with your musicianship - you guys can really play!
Your songwriting though, is what really amazes me. I can't believe how well you write and perform within the various country types - country rock, bluegrass, swing, etc. All of your songs are so listenable. If someone can honestly say that after hearing "I Could Do That", that the tune doesn't catch them and stay with them, I think something is wrong with them! ;-) Not only musically, but your lyric writing is great too. It's not just fluff for your music. You write both light and thought provoking lyrics that make you want to pay close attention when listeni | | Add Yourself to the Artists Mailing List |
